"Delicious animated candyfunk" - Mardi Gras Magazine
"Strikingly Bold" - Brand Republic
I hate writing about myself.
Luckily for me the fabulous Mardi Gras mag took the trouble of writing a whole article on me and my work.
If you have the time and fancy a read thats a little more in depth, have a look
I started working as Black Cravat in 2012 I first turned my hand to Photoshop when I was 16 as a last ditch attempt to create myself a fake id and get into the local night club. 6 hours later i had no idea how, but it worked! I was hooked.
I grew up influenced by a wonderful photographer. We played around with little photography projects often. He wore the most wonderful collection of beautiful Cravats. We were the best of friends.
When he died suddenly in 2009 I was devastated. The choice was sink or swim.
I immersed myself into learning photographic techniques and mastering digital software on my own.
Inspired by him and his rule of wearing only black when he meant business,
Black Cravat was born.
Since opening my studio in 2013 I have built a remarkable 5-star reputation.
What started as a dream in a tiny basement underneath a tattoo studio, quickly blossomed into the most awesome adventures and a fabulous career.
2014 saw me awarded winner of the MAJOR IMAGE campaign.
Hosted by Major Players Creative Agency, London and sponsored by Brand Republic I was chosen from over 100 entries by internationally acclaimed photographer Mr Tim Flach as the most outstanding entry.

Currently I'm involved in all sorts of fantastic projects.
I hold the role as the exclusive event photographer for the spectacular Neon Moon Burlesque and cabaret club.
I am super proud of this.
I love The Neon Moon Club.
I'm presently holding the title of an Arts Council Funded Artist!
I am one of seven media artists funded by Arts Council England and supported by Escalator.
Together we are making an electrifying new touring show!
It's an incredible project where I get to try my hands at creating film, animation and a blog as well as boundary pushing photography.
We are all very excited about it. Check it out.
I am still doing my famous studio shoots but now at an amazing new location.
I'll be announcing some very exciting news about all of this very soon!
I am lucky enough to be getting booked for SO MANY BEAUTIFUL WEDDINGS!
I really didn't start out thinking i'd ever be a wedding photographer. I was wrong. I love weddings.
At least 90% of my wedding work comes from word of mouth and recommendations,
I think this fabulous!
Nothing beats the kind of advertisement than that generated by people telling their friends and family that you did a fantastic job for them.
